Day of Defeat Source, for 5 Dollars

This past weekend Steam offered users DOD:Source free to play for the weekend, and to purchase for $5 until Thursday.

If you spent a lot of time a few years ago playing Counter Strike and Counter Strike Source, then you might enjoy this game too. It certainly isn't the best game ever (Team Fortress 2 is) but for $5 it has provided great fragging relief whilst calculating my taxes.

Rambo Movie Trailer

Obviously there isn't too much of a plot to this movie, but you wouldn't expect one right? Just some serious ass kicking by an obviously super human Rambo. Rambo hits the cinemas on Jan 25th 2008.

San Francisco Video

I visited San Francisco for the first time in January 2007, below is a video of the cab ride from the airport into the city. Unfortunately I didn't get a chance to take any more/better video, I'll get some on my next trip.

Hello world!

Welcome to InfoHole.

My name is Gordon, I am an entrepreneur with a strong passion for everything computing, internet, and technology related.

In 2004 I created one of the very first internet video websites, Putfile, which allows users to upload images, audio, and video to the web for free. I managed all of the servers and wrote all of the code for the three years that I ran the site. During that time I picked up a lot of PHP, MySQL, linux, server optimization, and hardware knowledge.

I sold the company in early 2007 to Handheld Entertainment (ticker ZVUE), a California based company which produces handheld media players and is expanding into the online media world.

Now that I have a bit more free time on my hands I am spending time building upon my linux, networking, and programming knowledge. I will update this blog with info that I find interesting.

Cheers,

Gordon
